Google I/O 2023 will take place on May 10
Back
Google I/O is a major annual conference for developers where Google launches and demonstrates its latest products. I/O stands for Input/Output, but also for 'Innovation in the Open'. It is an event that is looked forward to every year by journalists and developers, and has seen the launch of many products that are now having a major impact. Examples of products shown for the first time at Google I/O include the Android operating system, the Chrome web browser and the Analytics website analytics tool.
Google I/O has been organized every year since 2008; only in 2020 the conference was canceled due to corona.
This year, Google I/O will take place on May 10, in Mountain View, California. You can follow the (free) live stream at https://io.google/2023/. Registration is not required, but it is useful if you want to stay informed of the latest news about the conference.
Google I/O 2023
What can we expect from Google this year? Google is expected to launch more than 20 artificial intelligence products this year, many of which will be showcased at the conference. News is expected about Bard, Google's answer to ChatGPT, as well as other products for generating images, writing code for apps, or testing product prototypes.
A fixed point during the conference is information about the next version of Android and announcements of new hardware. With both Android and Chrome now running on screens of all sizes from wrist to TV, there's plenty of room for speculation about new hardware. There are also rumors that details will be shown about the Pixel 7A and Pixel Fold mobile phones, as well as Google's new tablet.
