Google is ‘freaking out’ from ChatGPT
Back
Did Google panic? It won't go that fast, but it is clear that the rapid rise of ChatGPT is causing Google considerable concern. According to The New York Times, even Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin have gotten involved. They have "advised" Google executives to launch more than 20 AI products this year, including a demo of their own search chatbot. This unprecedented interference by Google's founders is said to have taken place at the request of Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google. Page and Brin relinquished their day-to-day duties at Google in 2019 and have since worked at Google's parent company, Alphabet.
