New update Google Chrome saves energy and memory

Google is releasing a major update of the Chrome web browser that should prevent the browser from draining the battery and memory of the devices it runs on. This has been a big problem of the web browser until now. The new release, Chrome 110, has Power Saver and Memory Saver tools to prevent idle tabs from consuming memory or power unnecessarily. This frees up more memory for browser tabs in use, while extending battery life.
According to Google, freeing up the memory of inactive tabs means that the browser uses up to 40 percent and 10 GB less system memory.
Chrome 110 also includes important security updates, including biometric authentication for autofilling passwords.
The update will roll out this week to the Chrome desktop web browser for Chromebooks, Mac, and Windows (Windows 9 minimum).
